D-Day 2008 Commemoration
The Silent Wings Museum will commemorate the 64th Anniversary of D-Day with two days of events June 6-7, 2008. History will come alive as the Museum welcomes the World War II Airborne Demonstration Team and the U.S. 1st Infantry Division
living history group.

Free Admission all day! Museum hours: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
In remembrance of June 6, 1944, Silent Wings Museum will present the documentary D-Day Remembered
every hour on the hour beginning at 10 a.m.
Children’s and family activities will be featured in the Hangar Gallery all day.

Dedication of the C-47 on static display on museum grounds: 1 p.m.

Flights by the Airborne Demonstration Team: 10 a.m., 12 p.m., and 3 p.m. Fly on “Boogie Baby”
with the Airborne Team! The C-47 named “Boogie Baby” is painted in D-Day colors and remains
in its original parachute configuration, maintaining its separate radio and navigator compartments, as
well as its parachute bench seating. Seats will be available to the general public for $125. Seating
is limited and pre-Registration is available.
